For BVC Group, the primary challenge they were facing was claim approvals with the previous insurer. This instigated them to switch providers. To also keep up with competitors they wanted to find an all-inclusive health benefits provider.

Implement a robust digital health benefits platform that includes insurance along with added features like teleconsultations with doctors, lab test bookings, medical advisor chats, and all insurance-related details on a single platform. 

A modern provider like Loop will offer the above along with a dedicated claims team to ensure a seamless process.

Challenges

For BVC Group, the challenge of claim approvals with their previous insurer had become a significant obstacle. 

The lengthy approval processes, inefficient communication channels, and a lack of transparency in claim status updates were a challenge. BVC found it increasingly difficult to navigate through the complex claim submission procedures, resulting in frustration for both employees and HR personnel responsible for managing the claims process. This prompted BVC to explore alternative solutions and consider switching to a new health benefits provider.

Along with the above, another key motivator for BVC was to find an all-inclusive health benefits provider to stay competitive in the market. As their competitors began offering comprehensive health benefits packages, BVC realized the importance of providing a robust and streamlined health benefits experience for their workforce. They recognized that offering a comprehensive package that covered a wide range of healthcare services would not only enhance employee satisfaction but also contribute to their overall competitiveness.

To address these challenges, BVC recognized the need to find a new health benefits provider that could offer a seamless and efficient claim approval process. This provider would need to prioritize speed, accuracy, and transparency in their claim-handling procedures. Additionally, offer a comprehensive health benefits package, encompassing not only traditional insurance coverage but also additional features that would enhance the overall employee experience.

The Loop app would serve as a comprehensive and centralized hub for all health-related services, including teleconsultations with doctors, lab test bookings, medical advisor chats, and access to insurance-related details.

One of the key advantages is the inclusion of insurance coverage. Employees can easily view their coverage details, network hospitals, e-cards, and more. This transparency empowers employees to make informed decisions regarding their healthcare utilization and expenses.

To ensure a seamless experience, Loop also provides a dedicated claims team. Here’s what Harish Rana, admin operations at BVC said, “Lower time is spent by people in following up with the TPA and hospital all because your team from backend had taken care, very impressively. I would say that I just need to call the relationship manager, Mr. Surjit if any issues crop up. My employees have given a call to the support number and they have taken care of everything from the back end.”

This integrated approach streamlines the healthcare experience, enhances convenience, improves access to healthcare services, and ensures a seamless claims process, ultimately contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of BVC's workforce.

From app downloads and interactions to claims data and round-the-clock support, the impact of Loop on BVC's health benefits management and employee experience is evident.

The Loop app witnessed a significant number of downloads, indicating employees' interest and acceptance of the digital platform. This reflects their willingness to leverage the platform for managing health benefits, accessing additional features, and engaging with healthcare services. 

The high number of interactions on the Loop app showcases the active engagement of BVC employees, as they schedule teleconsultations, book lab tests, and access insurance-related details. This demonstrates their proactive involvement in managing their health benefits and utilizing the platform's functionalities.

Here’s the feedback we received about the doctor consultations from Mr. Harish, “Personally, I can give you feedback because I have taken a consultation through your app for my daughter, which is two years old. It is really fruitful because we get the proper prescription also helps us get the medicines from the pharmacy. In all, it had saved a lot of time because if we need to go to the doctor, we have to wait sometime two hours or more. Not just time, it has saved a lot of money also because if you go to a general physician, you definitely need to pay a minimal fee which is 500 or thousand per visit. So in all aspects, the Loop app saved time money and everything was at home. So this is the main benefit.”

Furthermore, BVC employees benefit from 24x7 claims support, ensuring they can seek assistance and resolve any queries related to their claims at any time. The availability of round-the-clock customer support further enhances the employee experience by addressing general inquiries and technical issues promptly. These support systems contribute to a positive user experience, fostering trust and confidence in the claims process and the overall platform.

As said by Harish Rana, admin operations at BVC, “I would really appreciate this that till now, nearly no claims or only a minimal number of claims have been rejected. Loop has taken care of the process so well to ensure all claims are approved on time.” 

Further, about the claims process, he adds, “Overall feedback about claims is really very, very good for me and my team members who have availed claims in the past year. If I would rate it from 1 to 10, then I will definitely give it a 10. The services and the way your team looks after me and my employees, and the support is really up to the mark and commendable. I really appreciate it.” 

With so much going on, we asked Mr. Harish how much time he spends on health benefits and he said, “With Loop, health benefits is just as easy as sending an email to any of the member or any of the employer of my company regarding anything. I spend less time in terms of coordinating regarding any claim and the app takes care of the rest without any intervention.”
