Keeps Transmitter in Place   2010-06-29

I have had a red one for years and am looking for another one. It keeps the front of the monitor strap and transmitter right where they need to be on my body. Without it, my heart rate monitor strap could slide down. The back of my sports bra has no slots for threading the strap around behind me, so that part of the strap does slide off the bra. I have had some trouble with the sports bra sliding up when I don't have the strap on it, but it might be I need another size. It isn't as tight as some of my other sports bras, so it might be better suited for activity other than running. I use it for walking and weight lifting. Be sure to thread the short end of the heart rate monitor strap (the part closest to the transmitter snaps) rather than trying to thread the entire length.

I've been using this with my Garmin 305 heart rate monitor for about a month. I am quite satisfied with this bra, and it does keep the chest strap in place which was a problem for me when using bras that didn't have the 'slots' cut in the lower band. The only negative, is that the bra does run somewhat small, as has been mentioned by others. So if in doubt, definitely order the next larger size.

I found that because I am busty that the bra doesn't work all that well. When I jog my breasts slip down under the band pulling the sensor away from the skin so I don't get any reading. Also, I can't put it on or take it off with the strap attached so have to fiddle with getting the sensor ends back out to hook the strap on. I'm not sure if it's the bra or the wrist unit, but I have been having trouble with the reading being way higher than what my heart rate actually is. I'm just glad I tried it out before my race so I know that I can't count on it.

I loved the idea but was disappointed when I tried it out. The band loses contact and frequently won't register a heartrate. The holes are frayed. I still use the bra but I wear the band underneath it. I wish I had spent the money on a really good regular sports bra instead.

Great as a sports bra. Too much trouble for me to have to thread the strap for the monitor through each time, it doesn't slide easily. Then you have to get the strap out again for washing. For me, it's way easier just to tuck the monitor strap up underneath and you can do that with any sports bra.
